Bissell Crosswave Mop review

I hate cleaning! As a mom of 4 boys I can spend the whole day cleaning just for it to be a disaster by the end of the day!

I used a shark mop for years. I have a housekeeper come a few times a year, it should be a few times a week! One time she asked what I was cleaning my floors with because they took her several buckets of water to clean! 😳 Lucky for me, my floors hide dirt well so at least they looked clean!  I told her I used the shark steam mop and she told me I was just pushing around dirty water. Ugh! In hind site that makes sense.

So I researched. I spent a lot of time on amazon, YouTube, and comparison sites finding what would be best for my family! We have 4 boys and 3 dogs. We needed something easy that works! As you can see by the gross picture this mop works!!!  The water was like mud! So embarrassing and disgusting, but I’m real and I’m here to give you real, honest reviews so I’ll show you.

What I like: works well, separate clean and dirty tanks, light weight, my 10-year-old can do it. It’s like vacuuming with my a lightweight vacuum. It has a dry mode so if you only have hard floors you can use it as your vacuum too. It also works on thin rugs. You can only imagine what came out of my small inside door mats!

What I don’t like: it’s loud (but I use my headphones and listen to podcasts), when you want to add water to the floor you have to squeeze the handle. I wish it was a switch instead of a continuous squeeze. But that’s only for a few seconds at a time so not a huge deal!

Any questions??? I LOVE Bissell Crosswave!

  1. What kind of floor do you have? We have real hardwood floors. I have been searching for something to use on them, but I worry about getting the floors too wet for fear of warping them. Thanks!

    1. Hi Christina! Mine are wood tile. The mop comes with solution for wood floors and it also comes with a special roller. The roller is covered with microfiber or terrycloth or some soft material. There is one for tile floor and it also has bristles on it. The one for hardwood has no bristles. You control how much water you put down on the floor by how long you squeeze the handle. Then you control how dry the floor is when you’re done by how much you mop back up. I hope that makes sense! I think it’s a million times better than just a steam mop. I’m amazed at how clean my steam mop pad used to be compared to the dirty water this pulls up!
