Our group is more than just shopping and deals!

I have a really great Facebook group. It’s full of 30,000 deal loving women. It’s drama-free. People come for the deals but stay for the awesome community! December is crazy! My husband’s birthday is in December and my older boys turned 16 & 21 the week of Christmas. It’s a little overwhelming, but when one of the local women in our group mentioned getting together for some girl time at breakfast and blessing a waitress I was all in!
I try to meet up with the women who live locally every couple of months. We’ve had parties at my house, we’ve gone out for brunch, we meet up at Starbucks. This time it was different. We met up at our local Corky’s dinner and each of us brought $50 cash. We had simple breakfasts and spent the time laughing and chatting. Our waitress asked what we were there for and we just said a friend meetup. Some of the ladies had to leave early so we paid the bill then told the waitress the real reason we were there. We were there to make someone’s holiday season a little easier and we gave her a tip of over $300. I don’t remember how much it was because the waitress was crying and then we were crying. It was so sweet. She kept saying, “you don’t have to, you don’t have to.” Ahhh We all felt so good. I love these ladies! We bonded over shopping and deals but their hearts are so great!

The awesome ladies who helped make our waitress’s day!

Someone I know left an abusive husband with her two teenagers. My mom helped her get an apartment and I gave her my old dishes and mattress. When we took the mattress over they were so grateful. I have never seen happier more thankful teenagers! They had their three blankets and pillows on the floor and were happy with that. I posted on Facebook asking if anyone had a box spring for the mattress. It was a public post and one of the women in our shopping group saw it and shared it with the group. All I had hoped for was that a local person could donate a box spring, but the group gave so much more. Someone brought a trundle day bed, another person brought a mattress for it. People sent amazon cards and send money on Venmo! It was crazy overwhelming. She didn’t have a Venmo or Amazon account and her phone is old. LOL It took my teenager hours to set it all up for her. I get emotional thinking about all that everyone gave. The one-bedroom apartment is fully furnished, the money helped with her rent, and the gift cards helped fill the kitchen cupboards. Local friends cleaned out closets and gave so many things that were brand new! We were able to wrap them all and her family had a great Christmas! All because of the amazing women in our group. I am thankful to have these ladies in my life.
It seems so many people want to compete and try to tear each other down, but our group is all about lifting each other up. Women will post pictures in shorts saying they haven’t worn shorts in years and everyone comments and cheers them on. It’s so cool to see all the love and positivity! If you aren’t in our group and you are a fun, uplift, female we would love you have you! Click HERE to join!
